Hex Triple Match is a block logic-puzzle game that features tiles and grid sections shaped like hexagons. The player's primary goal across levels and during challenge play is to sort stacks of hexagon tiles, or hexas, on grids made of hexagon-shaped pavers.
With levels, play is fairly straightforward. They slide stacks, one at a time, from sets of three below the grid onto empty pavers with matching top tiles in adjacent positions. The game flips one short stack of tiles onto matching ones and then removes a stack made of a specific number of matching ones, flips additional uncovered tiles, or waits for the player to make another move.
Hex Triple Match allows the player to use props, or boosters, to remove, reposition and shuffle the hexas for faster matches and removals. The player wins when they earn enough points to match a number displayed in the upper center area of the screen.
If the player chooses the challenge play option, they perform the same types of matches, but their goal is to colorize hexagon-shaped pixels on a giant image of the game's rabbit mascot.
The player wins coins. That said, they can also claim a daily bonus or open a piggy bank to retrieve coins. If the player ever fails, they still earn coins before they revive. Viewing ads can also give them coins and unlock paver spaces.
