Hair Do Design 2 is a continuation of the popular Hair Do Design dress-up game. A young woman needs the player to help her create the perfect hairstyle. Unlike the previous game, Hair Do Design 2 doesn't task the player with providing facial or spa treatments or makeup assistance. The player only needs to wash and prepare the young woman's hair and then pick and recreate a hairstyle.
In the first section of the game, the character leans back in a chair at the shampoo station of a professional salon. After completing a shampoo and rinse, the player can apply different treatment options. They complete their work by blow-drying the hair.
In the second section, the player receives six hairstyle options for long hair. Each style includes one or more braids. After the player picks a hairstyle, the game walks them through every step to recreate it. They must interact with the virtual comb and hair to complete the style.
Hair Do Design 2 ends by prompting the player to complete the style with a decorative accent, such as a butterfly barrette or a bow. It also allows the player to select a different hair color, including blonde, brown, pastel and even gray and silver hues.
