Garden Tales 3 is the successor of the popular match-3 Garden Tales and Garden Tales 2 games. It features a similar format to fun, themed-adventure, match-3 games like Jewels Blitz 4 and Yummy Tales.
In Garden Tales 3, the player explores a garden inhabited by gnomes. The player's main goal is to help the gnomes acquire different types of flowers, fruit, leaves and mushrooms across hundreds of levels. On each level, the player receives tasks from the gnomes that they must complete by matching three or more similar items in a horizontal or vertical row on a grid-style board.
Between levels, the player travels up a cobblestone and dirt path on a beautiful garden map and receives special gifts, such as gold coins, gift boxes, free prize-wheel spins and treasure chests. The player also unlocks and wins special boosters. For example, a booster might allow the player to break a seal wrapped around a fruit to create a bomb that clears matching items away faster or swap two items on different areas of the board to make a match easier.
