Gal Sliding Puzzle is a sliding puzzle game. The player rearranges tiles on 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 boards using the same movements required with classic handheld sliding-tile puzzle games. Their only goal is to recreate images of pretty girls drawn in anime and other art styles.
The main screen displays hexagon-shaped buttons for each board size. When the player selects one, the game displays the board with the entire image in full view as it should look when the player wins the level. A 3x3 board displays the entire image broken into nine tiles. The 4x4 board has 16 tiles, and the 5x5 board has 25 tiles.
The player selects the Start button to prompt the game to remove one tile and rearrange the others into new positions. They must slide the tiles in the correct order to recreate as much of the image as possible, given that they don't have the final tile. If their actions result in a near-perfect image, the game restores the missing piece.
Gal Sliding Puzzle treats each board size as a difficulty level. That said, the number of tiles per board isn't the only obstacle in this game. The tiles slide into the wrong positions very quickly, which makes it hard for the player to visually track the movements and guess the correct order by going in reverse. Additionally, each picture has a lot of colors in slightly different shades. The player might find that two or more pieces have enough similar colors and lines to make correct realignment difficult.
