Forgotten Treasure 2 is a match-3 puzzle game that focuses on the discovery of lost antiquities and treasures. The game is divided into seemingly endless levels that feature task-based gameplay.
The player must match three or more crystals in a connected line on a board to remove the crystals and complete tasks before they run out of turns. They must usually collect a certain number of specific crystals or reach a specific score. As the player completes each level, they also achieve up to three stars on a star line to the left of the board. After so many levels, they receive a piece of a puzzle designed to reveal a forgotten treasure.
Forgotten Treasures 2 offers the player several ways to clear a board faster with bonus boosters. They can collect a crystal or swap two crystals without losing a turn, all crystals along vertical and horizontal lines and all crystals of same color. They can create boosters by aligning more than three of the same crystals or buy boxes of boosters with coins they win at the end of each level. They can also multiply their coin winnings by watching advertisements. Lastly, the game supplies them with a daily coin or booster reward, free treasure chests every three hours and a mini memory game with a chest reward.
