Don't get lost in winding mazes! Fireboy & Watergirl in The Crystal Temple (Fireboy & Watergirl 4), the next exhilarating chapter of the popular platformer series, follows Fireboy and Watergirl while they explore labyrinthine passages in a temple filled with crystals that have truly amazing properties. A player or two players must help the friends collect rubies, diamonds and rare white gemstones, avert death from elementally incompatible substances and solve increasingly difficult logic puzzles.
All the rules from previous installments apply to this game. It also features many of the same logic twists and turns and tools. The primary difference with this version is that the player or players must also help the characters navigate portals generated by the crystals. They need to use a lever or button to activate some of these portals. They also need to look at the portal colors. The black side of an entry portal exits out a black portal. The white side exits out of a white portal.
The player or players can also push objects through the portals to teleport them to other areas. For example, they can push a heavy block through a portal so that it drops through another portal and weighs down a platform connected to a chain and pulley system that lifts a second platform elsewhere in the room. They can portal to exit doors as well.
