Science has never been so much fun! Fireboy & Watergirl in The Ice Temple (Fireboy & Watergirl 3), a labyrinth platformer, continues the underground exploration and adventure for one or two players. This time, Fireboy and Watergirl have discovered a temple in a cold region filled with ice and snow. The player or players must help them navigate each maze, solve sophisticated, science-based, logic puzzles and bypass various traps.
Fireboy still can't touch water. He also can't jump on ice or snow or climb snowy inclines. Watergirl still can't touch fire. She also can't jump on ice or snow and slows down when crossing either. That said, she can climb snowy inclines easily. Pools of green goo continue to be deadly. The player or players can help them by directing a character to activate or redirect blue light to freeze water and red light to melt ice.
Fireboy must collect rubies and Watergirl must collect diamonds in each of the 36 rooms. The two characters receive help from adjustable levers and mirrors and a variety of pushable objects. They also deal with wall and platform buttons that they must stand on and colored buttons that have slow or fast timed releases.
How to play:
Review all of the platformed and inclined areas and obstacles. Jump over deadly pools. Combine the characters' efforts. Use whatever objects are in a room to slide walls or platforms and reach gemstones. To leave a room, place each character in front of the correct gender-matching door.
Controls:
Keyboard: A player or players must use a keyboard with Fireboy & Watergirl 3.
To help Fireboy run left or right, press the Left Arrow or Right Arrow keys, respectively. To help him jump, press the Up Arrow key. To help Watergirl with the same moves, press the A, W and D keys. To make a jump between two tiers, press a directional key at the same time as a jump key.
Mouse: To navigate screens outside of the rooms, click buttons.
Mobile: To navigate screens, tap buttons.
