City Car Stunts features three main modes, six maps and a variety of unlockable vehicles and custom, exterior pattern and accent options. Unlike the original FFX Runner, it doesn't make a player run away from or race against other vehicles unless they choose split-screen competitive action against another player in 2 Player mode.
Otherwise, the player's goal in 1 Player mode is to reach the end of each city race course without crashing into skyscrapers or allowing obstacles, fog or illusions to trick them into driving off the sides of elevated roads and ramps or falling through giant gaps hidden between sections of asphalt. If the player makes it to a finish line, they receive access to a new car.
City Car Stunts also offers a Free Ride mode with a lot of fun, unique stunt opportunities in a remote valley surrounded by high mountains. The player can drive up a massive ramp shaped like a loop-de-loop, use their vehicle to score goals with giant soccer balls, attempt to pass through square hoops or hit a huge bullseye by driving off long ramps at top speeds and topple a variety of supersized objects. They can also drift and perform doughnuts with realistic skid marks.
