Fashionista Avatar Studio Dress Up is a dress-up game that features adorable chibi characters. The player's primary goal is to update the emotions and actions of each one they come across in different parts of a town. Additionally, they attempt to improve the scenes with custom characters.
After the player selects a town location, the game loads the scene. They then select a chibi and perform upgrades. They can use a lower-left emoji button to select a face that expresses a different emotion or changes the character's actions. They can also drag a character to a different spot, which sometimes automatically prompts the game to change its pose. For example, a standing character dragged to a bench takes a seated position.
The game allows the player to move non-character objects in the scene to new positions as well. When they move an object close to a character, the piece sometimes becomes part of the character's pose. For example, a cup might move to their hand, or a large stuffed animal might become a smaller toy in their lap.
Fashionista Avatar Studio Dress Up allows the player to fully customize their own characters. The player uses a lower-right button marked with a head and a yellow plus (+) sign to access a bottom horizontal carousel that displays a doll pedestal. When they select the icon, they're taken to a dress-up room. Custom options include adult and child bodies, skin colors, front and back hairstyles, similar and contrasting hair colors, eyebrow shapes, eye colors, lip shapes, nose shapes, cheek colors, and clothing and accessory items.
