Farm Match: Seasons 3 is another match-3 puzzle game in the popular Farm Match series. The player helps a local girl collect various items via match-3 player while traveling on a winding path through a farm. Their goals include earning points and stars and unlocking a gate that leads to cloud-covered environments. Along the way, the player also earns gifts and plays mini games.
Each board displays a mix of items in columns and rows. Common ones include butterflies, leaves, strawberries, violets and wheat. The player must align three in adjacent positions to remove the pieces. They receive a limited number of moves in the upper-left area. That said, the game helps by allowing them to remove items with special items they create by aligning four or more matching pieces.
The special items include line and cross blasts and pinwheel-shaped rainbow-colored flowers. Each item performs a unique move. For example, a line blast removes an entire column or row of items and prompts the game to collect any targeted ones from the line. A pinwheel flower removes every instance of one type of selected item.
The player can also combine special items. A line blast and pinwheel flower, for example, turn every selected item into a line blast that activates immediately. Two flowers remove all pieces from the board with one move.
Farm Match: Seasons 3 allows the player to stop playing at any time and return to the home screen. The player loses a heart life as a penalty.
