Farm Match: Season 2 is a match-3 puzzle game. The player completes item-collection tasks by swapping two items to match three or more items in lines within a limited number of moves.�
The game features a path through farm country, with buttons marking each level. The road takes a winding route past a red barn, livestock, a blue tractor, a hay cart and a windmill. The player receives access to 21 levels initially. Beyond the last level, more levels remain untouched under cloud cover until the player completes all tasks.
On each level, the player creates row and column lines that have matching colors and shapes, such as butterflies, strawberries and leaves. They also perform other tasks, such as breaking ice, collecting dirt, and opening treasure chests.
Farm Match: Seasons 2 offers special super items and boosters that the player can create or purchase, such as line and cross blasts and pinwheel-shaped harvest bombs. With the latter, for example, the player can clear every item from a board in one move by merging two harvest bombs. That said, they must complete the specific task or tasks displayed above the board at the top of the screen, which means the board might refill with additional items.
The player receives points, up to three stars, and other rewards once they achieve "Farm Match!" and complete a level. They might receive a gift from the game's main character, Poppy, an achievement gift, a free prize wheel spin, or treasure chests filled with coins.
