Endless Waves Survival is a dungeon-crawl action game that features indoor and outdoor environments. The player's goal is to keep their avatar alive.
The player selects an environment map (Green Field, Flying Assault, Skeletal Arena, Defense Of The Ancient and Treacherous Tombs) and then a mode. If they select the endless mode, they use every available weapon, ability and item to extend the life of their avatar. If they select campaign mode, they play until a timer runs out, kill a specific number of enemies, kill a boss, keep a crystal alive, or find a way out of the tombs, respectively.
The game features four avatars (Mage, Knight, Rogue or Archer) with unique special weapons and abilities. The player selects a character and performs customizations. The character carries a backpack to hold potions and scrolls that offer healing, speed and offensive and defensive capabilities. The player acquires items during a battle or buys them with money.
During a battle, the character automatically attacks enemies. The player directs their avatar to run or dash away and collect items left behind when an enemy dies. They also select new weapons and abilities via deck cards that pop up during a fight. If the player wins, their character keeps any remaining upgrades, and they move on to the next challenge. If the character dies, the player must start over from the beginning.
