Egyptian Marbles is a timed bubble-popping game set in Egypt. Across 25 levels that have historic sites, pyramids and tombs as backdrops, the player uses a golden winged cannon and projectiles to pop bubble marbles that rotate like a wheel while attached to a black post. The player's goals are to pop all the marbles, earn points and bonus points, and beat the timer.
The player can only pop three or more identical marbles, which means that they must find at least two connected marbles at a time that match each projectile. When the marbles pop, colored smoke momentarily replaces the group.
If the player misses too many shots, they receive a penalty of more marbles added to the wheel. That said, they can shoot unwanted projectiles off the screen without receiving this penalty. They can monitor their progression with a red horizontal bar and red dots displayed on a panel to the right of the playfield.
Egyptian Marbles features power-ups in the form of a snowflake that freezes the wheel's rotation, a potion that transforms a group of non-matching marbles into matching ones, a bomb that explodes a blast zone of mixed marbles, and flames that burn away a wide swath of marbles. These powerful tools help the player to perform faster than the timer that's located below the level number and score on the right panel.
