Dynamons Connect is a timed connect-style tile-matching game that features the popular battle-fighting monsters known as Dynamons. Across endless levels in Easy and Hard modes, the player's goal is to reveal pictures of different Dynamons in various environments by clearing away tiles blocking the images.
The player can only remove tiles in pairs of identical monsters using connecting lines that form no more than two 90-degree angles (i.e., three lines). They only see the lines after they make a match. If they perform the task correctly, powerful bolts of lightning destroy the tiles.
The vertical timer bar counts down on the left side of the screen. If the player fails to remove all tiles before it loses its fill color, they must start over. That said, they restore seconds to the timer every time they make a match.
Dynamons Connect presents new challenges with each new level. It increases the number of tiles while not increasing the time. It also slides tiles left, right, up, down or in several directions at one time. The player can offset these unique challenges by matching and removing tiles easier with boosters. They start with a hint magnifier button that prompts two matching tiles to pulse. They receive two additional hint tools when they unlock Level 10 and Level 20.
The game also helps by offering automatic hints when the player waits a few seconds to select tiles. If they run out of matches, it automatically shuffles the tiles into new positions.
When the player performs extremely well, they can add their name to a list of top 20 players. They merely need to use the lower-right corner button marked with a trophy on the main screen.
