Drive Mad Kids is another fun game in the Drive Mad series. As with previous versions, the player drives a vehicle through city and country environments in a block world. They can only accelerate, decelerate, stop and back up their vehicle. That said, this version offers fewer levels and simpler mechanics and missions.
Since the game is focused on playtime for kids, some aspects are entirely based on toys. In a cityscape, for example, the player might drive over, push or run into small toy vehicles. They might accelerate too quickly and ram into city structures, which causes parts of the structures to topple.
Drive Mad Kids offers interesting hidden challenges and obstacles. The player might need to drive slowly onto a platform that acts like a bridge or elevator when they press a button with a tire. In the countryside, they might come across jumping sheep that can completely flip their vehicle if they drive into them. The player must wait for the sheep to turn a specific way to drive over them without a crash.
Drive Mad Kids follows real-world physics. The lightweight vehicle is made of wooden blocks and pegs, which means it can flip forward or backwards, crash onto the road and fall to pieces with little effort because of momentum and gravity.
