Dream Room Makeover is another home renovation game in the Room Makeover series. This time, the player has purchased a fixer-upper property with a winter theme highlighted primarily with blue backgrounds and snowflakes. As with the previous property, this house needs tender loving care. The player must remove trash and restore or replace the furniture.
The player starts their remodeling job in the bedroom or first level. They unlock other rooms (bathroom, living room, kitchen and garden) as they progress through each game level. A horizontal bar at the top of the screen fills with a pink line to reveal their progress in a room. To the right of this bar is a hint button marked with a broom. They can use it to find the debris they need to toss out. The game also rewards them with a gold star when they successfully remodel part of a room.
Dream Room Makeover offers several cleaning and remodeling tools. The player uses a mop to soak up moisture, a paint roller to freshen the walls, a broom to sweep away spider webs, a sponge to rub away marks, and a hammer to repair furniture and other damaged or broken objects. These tools appear on a sidebar that pops out from the left side of the screen. Once the player finishes, they're shown a catalog of new furniture.
