Do You Want to Be a Millionaire? is a brain test game based on the popular television show of the same name. The player attempts to answer questions about a variety of topics to earn up to a million dollars of in-game cash.
The game runs a cash pot from $100 to $1,000,000 in a tree format up the right side of the screen. It displays one of 15 questions at a time at the center of the screen. Below the question, it offers four answer bars.
The topics range from art, history, geography, languages, math and science to past and current popular culture. When the player answers a question correctly, a yellow frame slides up the tree to highlight a new cash level.
If the player can't answer a question, they can use up to three lifeline buttons in the upper-left area. The first one, marked with people icons, gives them help from a fictional audience. The -2 button removes two wrong answers. The button labeled with double arrows and question marks swaps the current question. The player can use these options in any order, but they only receive access to each one once.
Do You Want to Be a Millionaire? allows the player to quit without a penalty. They merely need to take the money they've earned up to whatever point they decide to give up. The game then congratulates them and shows their rank in comparison to other players. If they answer a question incorrectly and lose a round, they can replay at any time.
