Dive Masters is a sports game that focuses on the art of competitive diving in different environments. The player directs an avatar to dive from a castle, cliff, tree, hot air balloon, lighthouse, old harbor, waterfall and other unique locations.�
The game offers main and freeplay modes. The latter option doesn't penalize the player if they make mistakes. They can use it to practice directing the avatar to dive and perform stunts and tricks.
The player can unlock and play a dozen characters (The Diver, Big Dave, Business Man, Bodybuilder, Florence, Basketball Diver, Karate Diver, Ninja Diver, Surfer Diver, Holiday Diver, Senior Diver, Teddy Costume, Safety Suit, Penguin Mascot, Astronaut Diver, Santa Diver, Clown Diver and Bunny Diver). Each character has unique skills and diving goals. They also have varying strengths and weaknesses related to difficulty, jump and rotation.
In Dive Masters, the player directs a character to perform flips, front-flip pikes, backflips and tucks. If the diver performs poorly, the player must start over. Common mistakes include the diver hitting the water with a flop and missing a tuck.
The player receives coins when the diver performs well. The different geographic locations and avatars unlock with each successful dive. The player also earns coins by playing a daily spin wheel and watching advertisements.
