Darts Jam is a sorting game in the hardware sorting subcategory. The player collects and throws colored darts that hold layered geometric and other shapes on a wall at color-matched balloons. Their goals are to pop all balloons and release all the shapes.
The stacked pieces are affixed to the wall at the center of the screen. The shapes typically form another object, such as an animal or a toy. Three balloons at a time rest in holes in each tray along the top of the screen. Below this area, the game provides six slots for temporary storage of non-matching darts.
The player selects uncovered darts to pop matching balloons. If they can't reach the projectiles they need, they select and transfer non-matching ones to the storage slots until they expose the correct ones.
When the player empties a tray entirely, the holder slides off the screen, and another one holding more balloons drops into place. If they're ever forced to use the last storage space, they must watch an advertisement to continue playing or restart the level.
Darts Jam provides the player with two options for guaranteeing that they never have to deal with this scenario. They can view ads to drop two more trays and balloons onto the screen or install more temporary storage slots.
