Cube Crash II, also known as Cube Crash 2, is a timed tile-matching puzzle game that features a lot more fun elements than the original. As in the first game, the player removes cube sets from a grid before time runs out. They also attempt to earn the highest possible score to rank against competitors globally.
The 14 levels of this game offer many different types of play. The game unfolds in alien environments where the focus is on releasing gemstones from the grid by selecting sets of cubes. The player must collect enough gems to match goals displayed in the upper-left area.
The player must also monitor the remaining time. If they fail to collect every gemstone before time runs out, they must restart the level. They can view the time as a digital number above a long, vertical, hollow crystal on the right side filled with pink liquid that disappears as time runs out.�
Cube Crash II offers special items and boosters to help the player meet their goals. For example, they can release an hourglass from the grid that adds time to the timer. They can release a hurricane that shuffles the cubes, gems and items. They can also unlock and use a range of boosters below the grid, such as lightning bolts and flames.
That said, they must select sets of cubes with caution. The game also features negative time hourglasses highlighted with red that remove time from the timer and freezes columns randomly to prevent access to specific cube sets.
