Cube Blaster 2048 is a connect-style tile-matching game that offers 2048 merge play. The player's goal is to merge sets of cubes to create higher-numbered cubes.
The player merges all identical cubes with diagonal, horizontal and vertical adjacent positions in five nine-block rows on the playfield. When they select two or more matching cubes, the game highlights the borders of each one with white and then merges all cubes together at the selection spot.
For example, if the player merges two 8 cubes, they create a 16 cube. If they merge four 16 cubes, they create a 64 cube. That said, the game also has a unique glitch. When the player merges three 16 cubes, they also create a 64 cube. As a result, they should merely attempt to merge large clusters of identical cubes instead of worrying about the math, similar to tile-set matching games like Tiles of the Simpsons and Tiles of the Unexpected.
Once the player completes enough cluster merges to create several high-number cubes, they can then merge identical pairs to reach their goals. For example, they might merge several clusters to eventually create two 1024 cubes and then merge those cubes to create a 2048 cube.
Cube Blaster 2048 fills the gaps in the rows with new cubes that slide down the screen from above. With every new, larger-numbered cube, it rewards the player with coins. It also eliminates the lowest-numbered cube.
The game allows the player to buy boosters found on the left side of the screen. The player can blast away one cube with a lightning bolt or swap two cubes with double arrows. They track their coin balance in the upper-right area. They track their score in the upper-center area. Their all-time score appears in the upper-left corner.
