Crazy Tycoon, a business-simulation game, asks a player to imagine that they're helping the world's wealthiest and most-talented businessman to become the richest, commercial property owner in the region surrounding his home.
The game portrays the main character as incredibly crazy in relation to how he establishes himself as a wealthy, local industrialist, which means that the player shouldn't approach building any structure in a logical fashion. For example, the main character's initial startups aren't large commercial projects. Instead, the character prompts the player to build fruit, hamburger, milk tea and snack stands and a coffee cart even though the area has few other people or businesses in it.
Although Crazy Tycoon requires a lot of onscreen interaction to develop the landscape, the game is also semi-idle. Once the player starts building and hiring staff or "talent" to manage the tycoon's sites, each location continuously generates revenues as somewhat passive income streams. They don't have to worry about running out of money to continue building either. They can also acquire an ever-growing amount of seed and other investment funds whenever needed by simply interacting with the tycoon's mansion.
During gameplay, the player earns diamonds in addition to coins, which they can use to buy cards that serve as tools for building structures and acquiring various objects. For example, they can use diamonds to buy build, benefits and vehicle cards, a talent skill book, a talent star upgrade and a negotiation book. They can unlock celebrities and other talent and equip personnel with new skills and cars. They also earn achievements for completing certain tasks.
