Crazy Merge Room is a casual merge game that features crafting elements and a room makeover theme. The player merges pairs of basic matching items to create more complex ones that allow them to update different rooms in a home.
The game has multiple rooms that include one child's bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, an adult's bedroom, and a gym. The player must complete one room before another unlocks.
When the player accesses a room, the game initially provides white silhouettes as hints that match the shapes of the items that are needed to complete it. The player merges matching pairs on an eight-space board below the room. When they create an object they need, the game places a green check mark on it.
The player must often merge several pairs of items to create just one. In a bedroom, for example, they can form a closet by merging two pairs of needles twice to create two shirts that form a hanger. They then merge the hanger with an existing one already on the board.
Crazy Merge Room requires the player to keep merging items and performing renovations even after they complete the first set of tasks. It adds eight more items to the merge board. The player must guess the locations of these objects based on where the pieces might typically go in a specific room. In the bedroom example, they might place a pile of books on a bookshelf and a computer monitor and keyboard on a desk.
