Cool Orange Ball Bounce Adventure is a platformer in the Red Ball subcategory. The player directs an anthropomorphic emoji-style ball to collect keys and stars, kill enemy squares, and reach finish flags.
The player collects the keys to assist the ball with unlocking closed gates and the stars to upgrade the ball with or without ad-view support. They can change the ball's color to purple, green, blue, black and yellow. They eventually gain access to a striped beach ball and a clown head ball.
The game provides the player with three heart lives per level. They lose a heart almost any time the ball comes into contact with a threat, such as when it accidentally drops into a waterway between cliffs or touches a serrated spinning blade. That said, the player can direct it to drop onto the tops and upper-corners of enemy squares as an attack.
Cool Orange Ball Bounce Adventure is less difficult than many other Red Ball games. The ball rolls in near-perfect sync with the controls. Yet, the player must still direct it carefully to bounce over dangers, roll and bounce up and down inclines, and use sliding horizontal and elevator-style platforms.
If the player ever feels like they can't win a level for some reason, they can start over or skip it by using buttons in the upper-right area. Of course, the game provides plenty of tools to make winning easier. For example, the player can direct the ball to push crates to create floating surfaces in water, bounce platforms near tall cliffs, and weighted objects that press large buttons that control automated structures.
