Stack Blocks: Connect Wooden Blocks! is a block-puzzle game. The player's goal is to collect as many small wooden blocks as possible on a dark brown 10x10 grid by creating 10-block horizontal rows and vertical columns with polyomino shapes.
The game presents the shapes in a set of three below the grid. The player only receives new shapes after they use a set. When the player successfully creates a line, the blocks in it turn white and then disappear from the grid. Unlike similar games, this game doesn't reward them with higher points when they stack multiple lines at a time with one finishing move. Instead, they earn one point for every line. They can track their score and best score in the top center part of the screen.�
Connect Wooden Blocks does offer unique play that differs from other varieties of wood-block puzzles. It allows the player to rotate some shapes. The player selects a double-arrow rotation button below the grid to assign a matching button below each shape. When the player can't fit a shape onto the grid, they can use its associated rotation button to try a different orientation.�
It's important to note that a similar button in the upper-right area doesn't rotate anything. Instead, it's a standard reload button. When the player uses it, the game removes all shapes, lines and the current score. The score area updates to reflect the last-best score. The player then attempts to beat that score.
