Connect 4
Board
Connect 4 is a classic board game where two players take turns dropping colored discs into a vertical grid. One player uses green discs and the other uses orange discs. The goal is to be the first to connect four discs in a row horizontally vertically or diagonally.
The game board has seven columns and six rows. When a disc is placed it falls to the lowest open space in that column. Players must think ahead and watch their opponent closely since one wrong move can decide the game.
A typical match lasts around ten minutes which makes Connect 4 perfect for quick games or longer strategy sessions. You can play locally with another player by taking turns or challenge a computer opponent.
Winning often comes down to smart positioning. Controlling the center column gives more chances to create connections. Planning moves in advance and blocking dangerous setups are key to success. With practice you will start to recognize winning patterns and traps.
Connect 4 was first introduced in 1974 and remains one of the most popular board games thanks to its simple rules and deep strategy.
