Connect 10 is a timed, connect-style, tile-based logic puzzle game that features simple addition rules and drawing. The player must connect numbers that equal the number 10 horizontally and vertically on the grid of an 8x8 smokey gray panel. Across 15 levels, their goals are to make all available connections before time runs out and earn a high score. The more numbers they use, the higher the points and bonus points.
The grid displays a mix of colored numbers. The player draws their cursor over two or more that equal 10 (i.e., 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6, 5+6, 1+1+1+1+6, 1+2+7, 2+3+2+3... and so on). Boxes appear around the numbers. When they select the right ones, the numbers rotate and transform into new numbers or red zeroes. If the player makes the wrong selections, the game highlights the move as greater or less than 10.
Connect 10 creates gaps after sections and drops upper numbers in columns into lower positions. The player can remove zeroes when making connections to form more of these gaps (i.e., 3+0+7, 2+7+0+1... and so on). Yet, in many connect-style games, the player can't make connections across gaps. They should sometimes wait to remove the zeroes.
The game presents the level number, the player's score, and the countdown clock on a right gradient blue vertical sidebar. This location also has a question mark hint button. The game deducts points from the player's score any time they use this option. That said, it also offers an arrow shuffle button that they can use repeatedly without any penalty.
