Colors Pins is a hyper-casual sorting logic-puzzle game similar to nail and screw hardware-sorting games. From level to level, the player sorts colored push pins affixed to different office-themed and other shapes into color-matched boxes or a temporary storage area.
The player merely needs to select a pin to prompt the game to perform a transfer. On some levels, they might run out of space in the temporary storage for non-matching pins. This event usually occurs when they need to remove non-matching pins to access matching ones hidden beneath one or more layered shapes.
On certain levels of Colors Pins, the player receives boosters that help them complete each task faster by giving them additional transfer and storage options. On Level 3, they use a pin button in the upper-center area to add an extra pin-shaped slot to the temporary storage. At Level 6, they receive a scissors button that allows them to delete a shape and auto-transfer the pins to the boxes or remove them entirely from play. At Level 9, an eraser button removes all temporary storage pins to free up space.
The game gives the player extra boosters and even boxes when they view advertisements. That said, the player wins golden paperclips they can use to buy boosters as well.
Warning: This game doesn't allow the player to use all temporary storage spaces. If they fill the last space, even if there are enough accessible pins to close and replace a full container with an empty one, they must restart the level.
