Clean the Room: Shelves and Objects Sorting is a sorting game that features match-3 rules. The player helps clean a room by arranging and matching objects on shelves in groups of three identical items. They also attempt to earn coins and three stars per level.
In every room, the game displays mixed objects on wall-mounted shelves, including different beverages, candies, bottled condiments, desserts, meals, potted plants, snacks, sculptures and toys. Each shelf has multiple layers of items. The player can only rearrange items in gaps. When they complete a set, the game dissolves the items with puffs of smoke.
After the player completes certain levels, Clean the Room: Shelves and Objects Sorting provides them with boosters to make sorting and cleaning easier. For example, they can use a hammer booster to remove any item. They can use a star wand to transform nine random items into one type. If they run out of space at any time, they must restart the level.
The game allows the player to upgrade their in-game avatar, the room wallpaper and the shelves with their coins via a button marked with a paint roller near the upper-right corner. The player acquires extra coins by viewing ads at the end of each level and opening gift boxes.
