Cat Voyage is an adventure game with merge, matching and other fun elements. A couple of cat explorers and their families and friends love to travel and search for treasures. The player's goals are to help them find amazing items by completing tasks and side quests.
The adventure starts with an undersea salvage expedition in the Underwater World and then continues with new stories that include Flavor Tales, Camping Trip, Farm Adventures, Beach Adventure, Movie Magic, Craft Fair, Relic Hunt, Spooky Tale and Snow Adventures. In each story, the player receives a merge checkered board. They use unique generators to produce basic items and then merge identical items in pairs to create more complex task-specific ones.
The player can only generate new items with blue energy bolts. They track their energy in the upper-right corner. When they run out, they can buy more with their upper-left corner emeralds, use platform currency, or play separate match-3 games. If they choose the latter option, they only receive a small amount of energy per side game. That said, they earn additional emeralds in a piggy bank that they can break after they reach a specific amount.
Cat Voyage gives the player seashells when they complete tasks. After they save up enough shells, they use a theme-related icon in the upper-left area to open up a side game that accepts shells in exchange for puzzle pieces. When they complete a jigsaw puzzle, they earn extra rewards. In the Underwater World, the icon is a yellow submersible.
