Castle Craft is a kingdom-building game similar to The Mergest Kingdom. It requires the player to acquire resources, such as natural materials, magical items, and man-made products, via match and merge techniques and other actions. The player must also perform agricultural sales to generate enough revenues to purchase upgrades and complete construction projects that improve the local community.
The main character, Fiona, washes up on an island in a far-off location after a shipwreck. The island and other nearby ones belong to a community of people who don't know modern conveniences. Fiona needs to find her family members, which include her husband, Michael, and their two children. She agrees to perform tasks with the player's help in exchange for locals in the community helping her to find her missing loved ones.
The player starts by merging wheat sprouts to form stalks, ripened wheat and wheat beds that they can sell in exchange for coins and keys that remove fog covering different new areas. They can also earn energy and gemstones by completing a wide variety of other tasks, such as woodcutting, growing and harvesting different crops, opening treasure chests, and unlocking local shops that offer additional resources.
Over time, Castle Craft rewards the player with side bonuses for completing main missions, mini quests, and solving puzzles. These bonuses include landmarks and other decorations designed to enhance Fiona's new community.
