Cargo Ship is a casual marine transportation simulation game with maritime trading and incremental revenue generation elements. The game simulates the career of a cargo ship captain. The player learns the basics of navigating a cargo ship around land masses, traveling various waterway routes, visiting ports and finding, buying and selling shipping containers.
White cloud cover hides most of the land masses at the start of the game. The player picks up containers floating in the water and visits ports to receive or buy additional containers. They then sell the containers at locations where they can earn the most money and use the coins to remove the clouds and reveal new opportunities, such as more water routes, bays, peninsulas, islands and cities.
Additionally, the player discovers structures that generate passive income streams. They build up the sites and return with their ship now and then to pick up free cash. They also receive money if they watch advertisements after opening treasure chests.
Cargo Ship offers many fun side quests and tasks. The player increases the capacity and speed of the ship by paying for length, height and speed upgrades. They can also approach the Gates to Atlantis Trader with gemstones and find Poseidon's trident.
