Candy Love is a unique bubble-popping game with a dessert theme. Against a blue-filtered outdoor scene, an orange tabby cat needs the player's help to burst candy shapes hanging in sliding rows on the playfield to reach a target score. The player's goals are to earn the highest score possible and currency for their efforts. With the latter, they can purchase new backgrounds.
The game doesn't provide the player with a traditional shooter. Instead, the player selects a candy bubble to drop into the outstretched arms of the cat, and then they direct the cat to release their selected projectile in a specific position on the field. To burst the candies, they must match three or more of the same type via this method. They can initially select multiple linked matching bubbles to create a cluster faster. They receive an enjoyable surprise when they perform combination moves in a streak and achieve FEVER status on a bar below the field.�
Candy Love also features special booster-style candies that appear during play. These candies allow the player to remove multiple candies at a time. For example, when the player directs the cat to release a star booster, it turns random candies on the field into the same type it touches and then bursts all of these candies. To use black bombs, they must view ad videos.
For every move the player makes, the rows slide one level down the screen. If they allow the candies to reach the bottom, they lose the game. They can track their best and total scores on the title screen.
