Caf� Panic! is a caf� management game that shows a player how to perform all the duties of a barista and caf� manager at a popular community coffee shop in a city. A young worker suddenly realizes that they need to pay off a massive pet-related bill. After receiving news about a caf� that wants them to apply for a job, they're accepted and joyful about the opportunity.
Yet, the caf� needs more than a cashier. The player must help a female or male avatar take and complete customer orders in a timely and satisfying manner. They must also make as much money as possible in a day, increase the avatar's speed, cooking and charm, improve the reputation of the shop, grow the business with upgraded and new equipment and menu items and expand to new shops.
In Caf� Panic!, the player must provide correct orders before customers become irritated or angry. A meter above each customer's head displays their satisfaction level. The player typically deals with multiple customers with different needs at the same time. For example, they might need to turn on the coffee maker and fryer and troubleshoot the caf� Wi-Fi. If the player does well, they receive tips.
At the end of the day, the player is also awarded stars, more money, points that unlock new levels and gemstones. They can use these forms of in-game currency to upgrade to entirely new beverage and food possibilities and better equipment. They can also upgrade the amount of tips they receive from customers. Additionally, the game offers minigames that award cash prizes and level-by-level equipment gifts, such as a fridge to keep chicken for buffalo wings, a stove for making pancakes and an oven for pizzas.
