Butterfly Kyodai Deluxe 2 is a timed connect-style matching game that uses butterfly wings instead of traditional images and tiles. In a peaceful summertime setting, the player must match pairs of butterfly wings to create butterflies on a two-tone gray checkerboard.�
Although play involves simple click-tap moves to select pairs, the game offers many challenges. The player can only pair matching side-by-side, stacked and edge wings or ones across a gap along the edges or the entire board that's no more than two 90-degree angles or three white, green-bordered lines. They must clear the board before time runs out on a blue horizontal timer bar.
The game also makes play difficult by presenting some wing with similar colors and patterns. It produces a burst of white stars in the wake of each butterfly that flies away from the screen. These stars don't fade away fast enough. Instead, the stars block the board slightly. Over time, the game increases the number and type of challenges. For example, the player might need to perform matches with one or more board edges blocked by shrubs.
Butterfly Kyodai Deluxe 2 provides the player with several booster tools, including freeze, hint and shuffle options. With the snowflake freeze button, they can freeze the timer for a few seconds. With the hint button, the game makes the squares behind a matching pair flash with a white glow. With the shuffle button, it rearranges the wings on the board, which results in more side-by-side and stacked matches.�
When access to boosters ends, the player can gain additional access by opening daily reward gift boxes via the ring calendar button on the home screen or viewing ad videos.�
The player can also change the wings and background behind the board with coins they win after each game. They can earn additional coins by viewing ads.
