In Build Your Rocket, a casual runner, the player's mission is to plant their flag on new worlds before anyone else. Yet, to reach far-flung destinations quickly, they need well-fueled, powerful rocket ships and skilled astronauts.
The player must build a custom rocket for each exploratory flight with fuel and power blocks. They're also eventually given access to special blocks that provide extra features, such as a gun turret and double the fuel and power per block. With each flight, they give their rocket a boost off the launchpad into space, make it accelerate and decelerate and direct it around threats. Common dangers include asteroids, mines and aliens.
Build Your Rocket rewards the player with cash any time their rocket makes it to a planet. Over time, they can use their money to unlock a factory to create additional fuel and power blocks, expand the number of blocks possible at the launchpad and pick new astronauts. They can also combine blocks at a research facility to increase the fuel and power per block.
How to play:
Build and launch a rocket. Interact with the screen to boost it at launch. Make it accelerate and avoid asteroids. Direct it into floating fuel cans. When prompted, watch advertisements to earn special extras and additional cash. Stay ahead of other rockets and aliens. Unlock facilities. Perform upgrades.
Controls:
Mouse: To use a button or boost, click the screen. To slide fuel and power blocks to the launchpad grid, position the cursor over a block, press the left button, slide it to an empty grid cell, and release the button. To accelerate and direct the rocket up, press the left button. To decelerate and direct the rocket down, release it.
Mobile: To use a button or boost, click the screen. To slide a block to the launchpad, position the cursor, press the trackpad or touchscreen, slide the block, and stop pressing the surface. To accelerate and direct it up, press the surface after launch. To decelerate and direct it down, stop pressing it.
