Bubbles Flowers is a merge game in the Suika tradition. In a grass field on a beautiful warm day, the player drops different types of flowers encased in bubbles into a glass-sided, wood-framed stand to merge the bubbles to create new, larger types of flowers. Their ultimate goal is to evolve all flowers until they create a large sunflower bubble.
The player receives two bubbles at a time. The game displays one as a preview in the upper-left area. The other one rests at a height above the stand in preparation for a drop with a white, needle-thin, vertical aiming line beneath it. The player can only evolve flowers by dropping one bubble on top of another that contains the same type. When they complete a merge that results in a new type, the flower appears in its bubble on a row below the stand.
Bubbles Flowers offers three helpful tools in the upper-right area to make it easier for the player to evolve the flowers. The top button allows them to skip the drop bubble and use the preview one. The broom button sweeps away and removes a random bubble from the container. The third button, labeled with different flowers inside of wavy lines, shakes the stand to reposition and merge bubbles.
The player must only use the shake tool when the flower bubbles aren't stacked too high. Any bubbles that fall out of the container end the game. The shake tool sometimes knocks a bubble out. No matter how it happened, the game counts a bubble resting in the grass as a loss.
