Balloons Emoji, also known as Bubbles Emoji, is a geometric-shaped bubble-popping game that features non-standard balloon bubbles designed to look like different emojis, including classic smiley faces, blue-haired, red-nosed clowns, and red, yellow-horned devils. It displays the balloons in rows in a hexagon shape atop a grid made of circles that has a central projectile shooting area and a color-coded, needle-thin laser targeting line. The lower-left corner shows the next projectile. The upper-left one shows the real-time score.
The game requires the player to pop bubbles by creating groups of three or more emojis of the same type. When a group pops, the game sucks the pieces up and off the top of the screen. In some scenarios, an avalanche takes place in which non-matching emojis attached to the group also pop.
Balloons Emoji has two main challenges. It gives the player three passes that prevent penalty if they fail to create a group. With a penalty, it adds one or more rows to all sides of the hexagon. Additionally, the player can use the gear at the lower-right corner to adjust the targeting line to mimic a virtual pool cue. They must pull the cursor in the opposite or reverse direction they want to shoot instead of pulling the laser line toward a target.
The player receives a fun bonus as well. If they remove all of the same emojis while still clearing the grid, the game doesn't re-add that type to the penalty row or rows.�
