Bubble Shot: Classic Shooter is a bubble-popping game. Against a classic lavendar-colored backdrop, the player attempts to clear the playfield of a mix of balls displayed in different patterns with an arrow shooter and ball projectiles. Their goals are to unlock new levels and patterns and earn a high score.
The shooter has a green arrow with an extended white, dotted aiming line and crosshair targeting bubble. The bubble can roll around a ball to allow projectiles into areas not normally reached with angled shots. That said, it has difficulty staying true to real-world angles during sidewall shots. The game provides a swappable primary projectile at the base of the arrow and a preview of the next one to the left of it.
The player shoots projectiles toward at least two matching linked bubble balls. The pieces fall from the field and fade away. The player can track their score in the top-center area. They receive a higher score when they remove more than three balls at a time.
Bubble Shot has two penalty-related conditions. The player can play without a penalty, as noted with a minus sign (-) in the lower-left corner. They can also play with one. After they use up four passes, they're penalized with an extra row of balls. They also lose the game if the balls ever slide down to the bottom while still part of a pattern.
Lastly, the game offers achievements. The player earns Newbie, Amateur, Advanced, Master, Expert and Professional titles when they achieve specific scores. When they play a specific number of times, they earn Potential, Passerby, Constant, Loyal, Devotee and Fan titles.
