Bubble Shooter Party is a bubble-popping game. On a screen that features a field and backdrop in two contrasting shades of blue, the player shoots bubble projectiles at nine horizontal rows of colored bubbles to create clusters of three or more identical bubbles. With the creation of each cluster, the game removes the bubbles from the field. The player attempts to clear the field entirely and earn the highest possible score.
The game makes play more difficult in several ways. It presents the player with an arrow shooter that has a wide, oddly shaped pointer in the form of two large gradient-blue arrowheads outlined in white. This pointer's width makes it difficult to accurately aim the shooter. The game also gives the player the ability to swap projectiles at any time by selecting small arrows between the main and secondary ones, so that every shot hits more accurately each time. That said, the swap sometimes delays or doesn't occur after the selection. Additionally, projectile bubbles sometimes roll around instead of hitting spots accurately.
Bubble Shooter Party allows the player to make five mistakes, as represented by a number on a bubble in the lower-left area. If they make more than five, it drops an additional row onto the field.
Whenever the player is successful, they receive points in the upper-right area. If they burst a cluster with non-matching bubbles connected below it, they receive bonus avalanche points and a timed streak option that allows them to repeatedly earn multiplied points.
