The Bubble Shooter Free series continues by offering a fresh bubble-popping experience with Bubble Shooter Free 3. Against a royal blue backdrop, the player attempts to earn as many points as possible and rank high on a leaderboard by shooting ball-like bubble projectiles at row upon row of hanging mixed-colored bubbles that look like candy gumballs to remove clusters of three or more at a time.
The player doesn't pop the bubbles among the rows. Instead, the cluster of matching bubble balls drops to the bottom of the field. The bubbles bounce around atop point zones. Wherever a bubble stops, it pops, and the game rewards the player with the number of points in that zone.
If the projectile doesn't match at least two connected bubbles on the field, the player can swap it with a second projectile. They receive this option up to three times. Afterwards, they must view videos to continue swapping projectiles.
Bubble Shooter Free 3 provides two types of boosters to help the player earn points faster. They can shoot golden, round bombs made accessible near the lower-left corner three times for free. When they make consecutive cluster shots, as tracked with a curved bar within the shooter, they receive a swirled golden ball projectile that can match any color.
