Bubble Shooter: Aquarium is a bubble-popping game. Across five levels, the player uses a rare spinner shooter to pop hanging rows of bubbles that contain colorful fish. Their goal is to clear all bubbles and earn the highest level and spinner scores.
The game displays the hanging rows in the center of the screen and the shooter with up to three swappable fish bubble projectiles. The player can use any of the projectiles by selecting the white double arrows against the green center of the spinner.
The upper-left area of the screen features a grayscale aquarium under a prestige score counter. When the player makes consecutive shots that complete color-matched clusters of three or more bubbles, the game adds a tiny bit of color to the aquarium. The player receives the spinner bonus score when they colorize it entirely.
Bubble Shooter: Aquarium offers penalty passes in the lower-left area. If the player fails to pop bubbles, the game decreases a number above a down arrow until it reaches zero. It then drops a new row.
The fish often cause distractions by swimming inside the bubbles. As a result, the passes help the player reduce the number of penalties they receive for missed hits.
