Bubble Master: Neon is a brightly colored bubble-popping game that features a classic design and unique custom options. The player uses an arrow shooter to shoot bubble projectiles at two or more connected matching bubbles on a playfield. Their goals are to earn points and clear the field.
Before the player begins, they can customize the background and improve their ability to differentiate between bubble colors by using the Options menu button to the right of the field. For the background, they can select shades of red, green and blue. If they turn on the colorblind option, the game marks all the bubbles with different white geometric shapes, including circles, squares and triangles.
The bubbles in Bubble Master: Neon act realistically with slow but varied movements. Each one bounces and pulses slightly upon impact and floats upon release. When the player bursts a cluster of matching bubbles, each one breaks apart into smaller ones that then float up, down or diagonally and fade away. If new bubbles slide down the field, some of the pre-existing ones burst from the friction.
The game offers preview bubbles, penalty play and boosters as well. The player can see the next projectile in the lower-left corner. If they fail to clear a cluster too many times, the game drops more bubbles onto the field from the top. The player can also blast away a circular swath of mixed-colored bubbles by creating a line of three or more connected matching bubbles that contain at least one bomb.
