Bubble Drop is a bubble-popping game that flips the classic experience. As with other bubble shooters, it requires the player to pop three or more color-matched bubbles in clusters. Yet, it doesn't hang the bubbles from the top of the screen. Instead, it arranges the rows along the lower half of a gray plastic-like grid. The player shoots from the top down toward the targets. Their goals are to earn a high score and play as long as they can given the grid limitations.
The player slides the arrow shooter left and right across the entire top of the grid, which means they don't have to direct the arrow at an angle and potentially miss a shot. The game also supplies them with a white targeting bubble that effortlessly aligns with empty grid spaces adjacent to desired targets.
When the player creates a cluster with a projectile, the bubbles pops, and the score updates in the upper-left corner. If they miss, they lose one of three up-arrow penalty passes in the upper-right corner.
Bubble Drop penalizes the player after they fail to make clusters three times. The game adds a new row of bubbles to the bottom of the grid, and all the other rows push upward.
