Break the Eggs is a themed drawing logic puzzle game similar to Draw To Smash. In a wide range of locations across levels, the player must draw line objects made of green, hard dots on graph paper inside of boxes to break one or more angry or mean anthropomorphic eggs and protect content or happy ones.
The eggs typically rest on red brick platforms or black peg holders embedded in the platforms. After they finish the drawing, the game drops the line object on one or more bad eggs or another solid object that rotates and strikes the bad eggs from a side angle. The player must make certain that the object is the right size and weight to perform the task. Most of the time, the object must conform to a specific shape as well.
Break the Eggs sometimes requires the player to draw a line object that supports other objects. For example, the player might need to draw a ramp at ground level and then prompt the game to drop a ball onto it that rolls down and into one or more eggs. With some levels, the player must also draw objects to drop on moving eggs and beat the countdown of a stopwatch timer above the playfield.
The game offers two helpful tools below each scene. The player can use a yellow lightbulb to prompt the game to show them the correct shape to draw. If they're willing to view an advertising video, they can also skip the level with a double arrows button.
