Boxing Random, an arcade-style boxing game that features pixelated graphics, allows one or two players to enjoy boxing matches in a variety of environments during warm and cold seasons, including stadium rings, outdoor public courts and backyard fitness areas. The game has punching actions similar to the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots game, but the onscreen characters move and bounce automatically during matches every time the player makes them punch at their opponent.
Since it's easier to hit a character when they're in a lower position, the player must make their character bounce high enough in the air to prevent the other character from hitting them. The boxing characters include athletes and business people. In some matches, the characters have short or long arms and big or tiny heads. The player might need to push crates out of the way before they can even position their character close enough to the other character to achieve a knockout.
Boxing Random also features a rocket-punch maneuver that literally takes the head off a character. That said, it isn't an easy weapon to use because it often fires in odd directions. The game challenges the player with semi-realistic physics. For example, a character with a huge head or long arms is more likely to fall over on to its front or back than a character with a tiny head and short arms.
