Block Puzzle 3D is a competitive block-puzzle game design with three-dimensional pieces. On an 8x8 floating dark blue grid, the player attempts to create as many eight-block lines as possible with 3D polyomino shapes to earn a high score. Their ultimate goal is to beat the scores of other online users displayed on a horizontal line at the top of the screen.
The grid isn't positioned vertically like the majority of similar block-puzzle games. Instead, the camera view is at an angle that makes parts of the grid harder to see clearly while placing the shapes. The player receives three shapes at a time below the grid. They must use all three before the game gives them more.
The player continues to play until they run out of grid space. They earn points in the upper-center area when they create and remove a line and perform a combo streak of removals. If they lose, the player can attempt to beat their highest score when they start over. The game displays the number in the upper-left area next to a gold trophy icon.
Block Puzzle 3D also features a storage cell area to the right of the three-shape set. If the player runs out of space on the grid to place the last block in a set, they can move it to this area to prompt the game to generate another set.
