Block Legends is a block logic-puzzle game. The player creates 10-block lines with polyomino shapes on a 10x10 board that features an uneven checkered grid. Their goal is to destroy the lines to earn as many points and diamonds as possible.
The player receives the polyomino shapes in sets of three on a panel to the right of the board. They drag the shapes to any spot on the grid to make the lines. Some shapes contain diamonds that they can collect as currency. Other shapes contain helpful or harmful objects, such as bombs that destroy nearby blocks, vines that require multiple matches to finally break, and bomb and nuke power-ups. If the player runs out of space on the grid, they can use their collected diamonds to purchase the power-ups to make room.
Unlike many block puzzle games, the player doesn't need to use all three shapes at a time before new ones appear on the panel. Instead, they receive a preview of a replacement shape above the set. When they use a shape, the game replaces it immediately with the preview shape on the panel. They earn the highest points when they complete lines in a consecutive streak to earn point multipliers.
As the player completes missions, they level up. At that time, the game displays their level score, percentage of cleared blocks, and the number of earned multipliers, earned blocks and earned diamonds.
