Block Crasher is a three-dimensional shooting game that features a combination of bubble shooter, brick breaker and sliding-tile gameplay. The player must clear levels of stationary and moving colored block tiles with matching ball projectiles. They receive points and a shot at a top position on a leaderboard.
The game doesn't show the number of available shots. Instead, the player receives three free penalty passes below the purple cylindrical platform where the projectiles rest. If they use all three passes, they must watch an advertisement to restock the balls or start over with a zero score in the first level.
Block Crasher only shows one colored ball at a time. Similar to long-distance cannon shooting and billiard or pool table games, the player uses their cursor to generate an aiming line and targeting crosshair by sliding the cursor down and away to the left, middle or right of the ball. They direct the crosshair to touch a matching block tile and then release their "pulling" action to fire the ball in the direction of the target.
Since some block tiles move in different directions at different speeds, the player must have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to correctly anticipate a tile's future position to pull off precise, perfectly timed shots. That said, the game also supplies three ad-supported boosters that they can use to blow up and remove mixed-colored tiles.
The player tracks their points in the upper-center area. If they remove tiles in a streak quickly enough, they receive a multiplier next to a timer below the score.
