Basketball Serial Shooter is a sports click-tap game. The player attempts to make as many shots on an outdoor basketball court as possible before a horizontal orange double-bar timer runs out of time. Their goal is to make enough shots to complete a wide range of achievements that help them earn blue gemstones that they can trade for new balls, courts and hoops.
The game doesn't start the timer until the player makes a shot. Once that happens, they must quickly click or tap the screen repeatedly to raise the ball high enough for them to stop and allow it to drop through the hoop and net. They continue making shots until the orange disappears from the two horizontal bars.
The game challenges the player by altering the location and height of the backboard, hoop and net. It also changes the location of the ball before each throw.
Basketball Serial Shooter rewards the player with gemstones when they achieve a specific number of overall shots, bank shots, hoopies, long shots and after-the-whistle shots. It also rewards the player for shooting the wrong way and performing stunt shots. Lastly, it gifts the player with free gemstones every three hours.
Ball upgrades include patterns that match a baseball, a bowling ball, a beach ball, a snowflake ball, a golf ball and Earth. The player can change the time of day and the weather for the court with upgrades as well. They must earn more than 100 gemstones to start upgrading these areas.
